An invitation that cannot be ignored.
The Weather Network (TWN) was hosting an exclusive event with Canada Goose to promote the immense value of their digital properties. They needed a creative invitation to not just catch the attention of their targeted list of executives, but one that would ensure the invitee’s attendance.
Kickin’ Digital provided several well-received, creative concepts for the invitation, with TWN choosing a single glove concept. Each invitee was sent a single, high-end Canada Goose glove, with the invitation resting in its palm. The invitation explained that if they attended the upcoming event they would receive not just the matching glove, but a jacket from the Canada Goose catalogue. Each glove invitation was delivered directly by courier and a teaser email was sent at the same time to ensure the package wasn’t missed.
The invitation was a success. 100 people received invitations with 98 people attending the event (and the other two reporting illness). Subsequently, the event helped TWN book $250,000+ of digital advertising business for the next year.
